Updated Pamper routine; Skincare, haircare, body care and lifestyle.

                                                                    Pamper me please.

Aloha and happy Friday to you! Today there is no Friday favourites as my week has been a blur and all I have been loving is sleep! Instead there is a section all about spending a little time with yourself and why not? We all deserve a pamper session whenever we feel like it. I am a firm believer in taking quality time to look after yourself, whether that be on a good day or a bad day. However, if you are having the worst day where everything that could have gone wrong has or you are just feeling in the mood to spoil yourself these following steps will be your salvation. A pamper session can calm you down and take your mind off whatever is getting you down and make you feel so much better, trust me! This post is pretty much how I will be spending my Friday night and I don’t really mind since I’m not feeling amazing and my weekend plans have been pushed on the back burner. Oh well, leaves more time for some TLC.

Pre shower.

Before I start any pampering I change into comfy clothes, light a candle, and plug my ipod into my speakers at a loud enough level to drown the outside world and start to relax. If you are interested in what I’m currently listening to scroll down to my last post which was a monthly playlist. When that’s done I move on to the fun part, beauty and skincare!

The face;

This is my number one crucial step. I never sleep in my makeup or wash it off in the shower because water doesn’t remove all of the skincare and makeup you have had on your face for the day! Think of the dirt from the air, and things like public transport and air conditioning you have been struggling through all day combined with your added touch up of makeup, ik! Trust me my friends, remove the dirt and grime first thing and you will start to feel a little bit better already!

After all of my makeup is removed and my face is sparkly clean I then move onto a facemask. My two current masks are the Origins out of trouble mask and my new favourite Neutrogena 2 in 1 visibly clear facemask/face wash. If I’m being honest I think I prefer the Neutrogena one because I have seen more of an effect from it. I leave that on the skin for 10-15 minutes and remove it in the shower with a damp facecloth.

Shower; Body scrub of choice.

Mine is the sanctuary body scrub which I use with exfoliating gloves. I have used exfoliating gloves for years they are amazing for making your skin look and feel polished when teamed with a good body scrub. I adore sanctuary as their scrubs are still firm but not too harsh and are easy to use in tube form and easy to remove, leaving a lovely after scent.

Shampoo and conditioner.

Garnier ultimate blends range. I am loving this new range from Garnier as it is extremely affordable and does the trick! I am always trying out new shampoos and conditioners, I still haven't found one I repurchase again and again.

Shower gel;

The Radox Brazilian fusion is my number one favourite shower gel of all time and can be very hard to find! It smells amazing, I honestly can’t describe it, and it is just so nice! I then wash out the shampoo and conditioner and go in with a hair masque.

Hair masque;

My mask of choice will come as a shock to none of you, it is the Charles Worthington strength and repair hair masques. I very rarely wash my hair without using this product after. It does wonders for my hair in general look, texture and well-being. I have raved about this product before it is my hair holy grail. While the hair mask is in and working wonders I then shave with my Venus breeze razor.

Venus have been my only type of razor since started shaving forever ago. I can’t stress enough how much I hate body hair, and I don’t care what anyone says about hair being “natural” and “there for a reason” it’s all blah blah blah to me. If you LOVE your hair, don’t shave and hate shaving and whatever else that’s great for you congratulations, but don’t preach to me about it because I’m not going to listen. It is each to their own however, I hate it always have and always will. Rant over and back to the point this razor is perfect for any part of the body that you are shaving I have probably cut myself twice in my whole razor span life which is not bad at all. The soap on the razor leads the way for a closer and smoother shave and it’s honestly the easiest thing to do. I then wash the mask out and hop out of the shower.

Post shower;

Face;

La Roche-Posay Toleriane. This is a moisturiser for sensitive skin and I started using it around the end of June this year and since then I have noticed a significant difference on my face, it soothes the skin and leaves a nice layer over the face that is non greasy and doesn’t pull the oils out of my skin either. I apply this cream all over my face, neck and décolletage.

Eyes; Olay eye cream.

This eye cream is perfect for lightening those under eye dark circles and preventing the under eyes from drying out. However, I have been noticing a little puffiness in my under eyes as of late with less sleep and earlier mornings on the week days with work so I have bought a new vichy eye cream with a metal top that rolls the eye cream on, which further soothes the eye. I will keep you posted on how that goes!

Nuxe lip balm;

This was and still is my first ever purchase from Space NK and I am in love. This lip balm is my saviour from dried out lips and I honestly don’t know how I went without it. It smells amazing and is extremely nourishing I would defiantly recommend picking it up.

Body butter;

On a day to day basis I use my Vaseline on the go spray as a body moisturiser as it is quick and easy. Although when I have a little more time on my hands I will use my Cocoa butter. I adore the palmers cocoa butter as it is just the right amount of richness and thickness as well as the fact it dries into the skin quick enough. It leaves the skin smelling amazing and feeling luxurious, soft and plump.

So that is the end of my current pamper routine, I hope it has helped you and given you some inspiration for yourself!

Au revoir until next time,

C xo
