T.G.I.F. Lifestyle

                                                          Five Friday Favourites:

Aloha and happy Friday to you! This week has flown for so many good reasons! Some things that made the week fly; I became a mentor, I got my hair done, I had a great shopping spree on Wednesday (payday) with my mam and sister. It’s just been a really drama free, nice week. I plan on catching up on work this weekend as well as being in actual work. I’m also hoping to have a good productive week in college, how is next week my fourth week back?! I hope you have a lovely Friday :)

Fave quote:

I love this, because it’s so true. This can apply to everyone and anyone when doubting yourself. I can’t commit to something I don’t feel one hundred percent about because I know I won’t give it my all and I’ll just disappoint myself. I always get asked why I write this blog, the majority of the time its asked, it is not asked in a  genuine way. Instead it's in a patronising tone, and looking down on me for doing something so "out of my league". However it just makes me laugh at this stage because I’m so over some people telling me what I can and can not do. Why do you care if I write it or not? It’s not your blog its mine and if you don’t like it, don’t read it simple as. That's all I'm going to say on the matter. I wouldn’t be writing this blog if i let people talk me out of it. So you shouldn’t let people talk you out of something you want to do either. If its travel go and see the world, if you want to drop out of college do it, if that’s really what you want. If you want to work out, do it! You can do whatever task you set your mind too, if you believe in yourself. At the end of the day you just have to ask yourself, what do you really want?

Fave song:
Menswear the 1975
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDIKByXhA80
I have been overplaying this song for the past two weeks. I really should be sick of it now but I’m not at all. It’s so chill, I adore it! P.S they are perfect.

Fave laugh:
My Contact lens disaster.
This made a hilarious start to my week. So on Monday I went to get my contact lenses, all excited I strolled into the shop cool as a cucumber. In my head i'm thinking, I’d pick the box of contacts up and leave the shop in about five minutes. This was not even close to what happened. The optician called me in and put the contacts in my eyes they were grand, didn’t hurt or anything. I was amazed at being able to see so clearly without my glasses, it was so cool! Then she started chatting away to me, saying my reaction was really good blah blah blah. So I was feeling great until she started to tell me about some other people that came in. The optician told me the girl that was in before me had gotten sick when she had to take the contacts out herself and that another girl fainted because she couldn’t handle removing the contacts. She then started to say that I had to cut my nails because they are too long but to go on remove the contacts now anyway. Well I was freaking out, after hearing the two horror stories I started to get a headache and feel nauseous. As well as that I was now afraid I was going to scrape my eye out with my nails! I couldn’t handle it at all, my hands were shaking like mad and I felt like I was going to pass out. She also had this crazy way of doing it and wouldn’t let me take them out my normal logical way. After trying to remove them for a good ten minutes, I was like sorry I just can’t do it, so she removed them in a second. She then went on to tell me that if I can’t remove the contacts the way she has showed me I can’t have them. I’m not even surprised it happened because stuff like this always happens to me. I get into the weirdest funniest situations and all I can do is laugh about them. Tara thought it was hilarious and fully agreed that she wasn’t even shocked when I told her what happened. I just wish someone had of been there to witness it haha. I’m going back today and the thoughts of it are making me sick eww. I'm glad to say I went up this morning and I was able to put them in and take them out. So I came home with a two week trial run, yay!

Fave show: True Detective.
True detective is about two detectives working on this really dark, and daunting serial killer case. It stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, it is seriously so addictive. I really don’t like Woody Harrelson in it at all though. His character is a really crappy guy that just makes me feel sick. I don’t really know how to feel about Matthew McCaonughey either because he’s really angry, depressed and aggressive in it but I love him at the same time. I like the two in happier and funnier roles but they’re acting is amazing in true detective. If you are interested in dark criminal minds, the following kind of dramas you will love this.
