                                    Just one of those days.

This week’s post is tapered more towards the lifestyle end of my blog. Over the weekend I was having one of those days and I noticed I do a lot of the same things when I’m feeling off to make me feel better. Then I thought to myself why not write some of the things down because it could an interesting blog post! So here are some tips I have for when you’ve woke up on the wrong side of the bed, had one so those days or you’re just feeling off and are looking for a pick me up!

  1.  Call a friend: Whenever I’m feeling shitty or just need a pick me up I call one of my best friends and they never fail to cheer me up or make me feel better! Talking to a friend takes my mind off of whatever is bothering me and I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders and much happier.
  2. Cadburys Giant Buttons: Personally there is nothing I like more than a pack giant Cadburys chocolate buttons, a cup of tea and a film when I’m not in the humour for the rest of the world. They are the nicest chocolate around and I have a bit of an obsession! That and the fact I’ll use any excuse to eat chocolate ha-ha.
  3. Go on a walk: I love going for a long walk with my dog and my iPod just to clear my head for an hour or two. Sometimes being in my room or at home when I’m having an off day isn’t the best for me and at least if I go out and get a break I come home feeling better
  4. Listen to my favourite songs: Music definitely helps my mood, if I plug my iPod into my speakers and play my favourite upbeat songs while flicking through tumblr or clothing websites I’ll feel better, weird but true!
  5. Go to see friends: My friends play a huge part in my happiness. If I go even a week without seeing any of them I’ll miss them terribly. Even today we had a random trip to the beach and it was really nice. We make sure we have a “moths date” at least once a week to catch up and just chill together, there’s always some form of news or something to laugh about which is great. I also see my best friend every Sunday it’s like a tradition no matter what we’re doing we’ll arrange plans to always keep Sunday free. It’s great because if we’ve had a bad week or a bad day at least we’re able to talk about it and feel better before the fresh week starts!

  6. Watch a feel good film: I am a sucker for rom-coms and comedies! There is nothing I love more than a film that can make me laugh, cry and feel nice inside which some people may think is gay however, I really don’t care! My favourite rom-com is Bride Wars, Kate Hudson is my favourite actress she is stunning and funny, and I think she is hilarious in that film. The latest comedy I’m loving is Grown Ups Adam Sandler, Kevin James, and Chris Rock are a hysterical combination, it was one of the funniest films I’ve seen in a long time and it really cheered me up!

So they are some of the things I do when I’m having “one of those days”. What do you guys do to feel better? Let me know in the comments below! Au revoir till next week! :)

  3. Thank you SO INCREDIBLY for sharing those tips! I sometimes forget how powerful those little things can be when you struggle to go through bad times in life.... I probably need to start with Cadburys chocolate buttons;-))) (u probably won't believe, but I've never tried them - may be I shouldn't cause I'm bad when it comes to chocolate addiction fights;-))))
