T.G.I.F. Lifestyle

                                                          Five Friday Favourites:

Aloha and happy Friday to you! This week has flown for so many good reasons! Some things that made the week fly; I became a mentor, I got my hair done, I had a great shopping spree on Wednesday (payday) with my mam and sister. It’s just been a really drama free, nice week. I plan on catching up on work this weekend as well as being in actual work. I’m also hoping to have a good productive week in college, how is next week my fourth week back?! I hope you have a lovely Friday :)

Fave quote:

I love this, because it’s so true. This can apply to everyone and anyone when doubting yourself. I can’t commit to something I don’t feel one hundred percent about because I know I won’t give it my all and I’ll just disappoint myself. I always get asked why I write this blog, the majority of the time its asked, it is not asked in a  genuine way. Instead it's in a patronising tone, and looking down on me for doing something so "out of my league". However it just makes me laugh at this stage because I’m so over some people telling me what I can and can not do. Why do you care if I write it or not? It’s not your blog its mine and if you don’t like it, don’t read it simple as. That's all I'm going to say on the matter. I wouldn’t be writing this blog if i let people talk me out of it. So you shouldn’t let people talk you out of something you want to do either. If its travel go and see the world, if you want to drop out of college do it, if that’s really what you want. If you want to work out, do it! You can do whatever task you set your mind too, if you believe in yourself. At the end of the day you just have to ask yourself, what do you really want?

Fave song:
Menswear the 1975
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDIKByXhA80
I have been overplaying this song for the past two weeks. I really should be sick of it now but I’m not at all. It’s so chill, I adore it! P.S they are perfect.

Fave laugh:
My Contact lens disaster.
This made a hilarious start to my week. So on Monday I went to get my contact lenses, all excited I strolled into the shop cool as a cucumber. In my head i'm thinking, I’d pick the box of contacts up and leave the shop in about five minutes. This was not even close to what happened. The optician called me in and put the contacts in my eyes they were grand, didn’t hurt or anything. I was amazed at being able to see so clearly without my glasses, it was so cool! Then she started chatting away to me, saying my reaction was really good blah blah blah. So I was feeling great until she started to tell me about some other people that came in. The optician told me the girl that was in before me had gotten sick when she had to take the contacts out herself and that another girl fainted because she couldn’t handle removing the contacts. She then started to say that I had to cut my nails because they are too long but to go on remove the contacts now anyway. Well I was freaking out, after hearing the two horror stories I started to get a headache and feel nauseous. As well as that I was now afraid I was going to scrape my eye out with my nails! I couldn’t handle it at all, my hands were shaking like mad and I felt like I was going to pass out. She also had this crazy way of doing it and wouldn’t let me take them out my normal logical way. After trying to remove them for a good ten minutes, I was like sorry I just can’t do it, so she removed them in a second. She then went on to tell me that if I can’t remove the contacts the way she has showed me I can’t have them. I’m not even surprised it happened because stuff like this always happens to me. I get into the weirdest funniest situations and all I can do is laugh about them. Tara thought it was hilarious and fully agreed that she wasn’t even shocked when I told her what happened. I just wish someone had of been there to witness it haha. I’m going back today and the thoughts of it are making me sick eww. I'm glad to say I went up this morning and I was able to put them in and take them out. So I came home with a two week trial run, yay!

Fave show: True Detective.
True detective is about two detectives working on this really dark, and daunting serial killer case. It stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, it is seriously so addictive. I really don’t like Woody Harrelson in it at all though. His character is a really crappy guy that just makes me feel sick. I don’t really know how to feel about Matthew McCaonughey either because he’s really angry, depressed and aggressive in it but I love him at the same time. I like the two in happier and funnier roles but they’re acting is amazing in true detective. If you are interested in dark criminal minds, the following kind of dramas you will love this.

Fave picture: Matty Healy.

He is perfection.

What are your Friday favourites?

Au revoir until next time!

Motivational Mondays: Lifestyle

                                                  Weekly roundup.

Alohaaaaa this week’s motivational Monday is a roundup of last week mainly because I missed my five Friday favourites! Last week was a bit hectic but there was so many things going all at once some good and some bad but that’s life, things happen. I do feel quite positive for this week though, I'm starting my week with positive vibes.
Quote of the day:

Lately I’m finding this to be very true. No matter how much I try to plan everything, life can intervene, plans are often altered, and things can change, which can be quite upsetting a times. However, I like to believe that everything happens for a reason. So what I’m going to do and suggest to you fellow planners, is let life itself guide you.

Highlight of the week:
The 1975 Olympia concert.

This has to be the highlight of my week. I have been in love with the 1975 for months now I love them completely as a band and I adore all of their songs. I am even slagged in work for “putting my boys on” but I love it and my love for them hasn’t annoyed everyone..yet ha-ha. Generically Matty is my favourite like every girl in the world who likes the 1975, he is just so gorgeous. The 1975 played the Olympia in Dublin on Friday the 21st and it was amazing! I nabbed tickets off my friend who was selling his and went with my sister. It was a perfectly brilliant night, between the music, the wine and the bonding with my sister nothing could ruin it. Their performance was electric and most importantly they were so good live. The song that had the best response was settle down, the crowd went mad screaming when the song began to play and for those few minutes the atmosphere was taken to another level. Throughout the concert there was bopping around, jumping, screaming lyrics and so much more. I would go and see them again in a heartbeat!

Favourite feeling of the week:
I can’t get over the happiness and relief I felt when I received my first semester grades. I passed all of my exams with really good results. My friends and Family were really proud and happy for me, which felt amazing. I am really proud of myself for my good results, I was shocked with how well I did but it was a good shock, because it has made me believe in myself. My results have really given me the push to work as hard as I did last semester to do just as well in the next coming months.

Song: Hozier from Eden.

Hozier can’t go wrong in my eyes, I am overplaying this song to death.

How cute is this?!

What are your weekly roundups?

Au revoir until next time!

Motivational Mondays: Fashion

                                                                  My Favourite Jeans.

Aloha and welcome to motivational Mondays, this is a series that I will try my best to do every Monday so I can motivate myself to write more! This week’s topic is fashion and that staple for almost every girl, the perfect pair of jeans. My jeans of choice are the River Island mid wash Amelie super skinny jeans. So if you are looking for that go to pair of jeans or just looking for a light read, enjoy!

I am not going to lie I am not a lover of jeans, I much prefer wearing skirts, dresses and leggings. Yet, I do have a favourite pair of jeans that I wear at least once a week. Around four years ago I found out how amazing River Island jeans are. Their super skinny jeans are hands down my all-time favourite jeans. The jeans in the above photo are fifty euro and are worth every penny. If you want jeans that fit perfectly and last for ages, get the Amelie super skinny a.s.a.p. One thing I’ve noticed about River Island jeans is that they never lose their shape no matter how many times they are washed or thrown in the dryer. River Island jeans are perfection in my opinion! These jeans are the only jeans that don’t fall down or stretch on me and if I’m being honest the only jeans I have ever liked wearing. If you think you would like them, check them out!

What are your go to jeans?

P.S.

Au revoir until next time!

T.G.I.F. Lifestyle

                                                        Five Friday Favourites.

Aloha and happy Friday to you! Are you feeling the love this valentine’s day?! This week has been eventful to say the least, there seemed to be a million and one things going on at once. I’m finally back in college and I’m liking the idea of the majority of my classes. One thing that’s very clear this semester is the amount of work that’s going to be done, but I’m ready for it. Just like they say there’s no rest for the wicked haha. Moving on and up, positive vibes, good plans and good music will keep me going! Enjoy your V day(Valentines day) whether you’re all loved up, single, or anything in between its Friday so smile and your weekend!

 Fave quote:

Sometimes no matter how much effort you put in or how much you try some things don’t work out. Like the quote says when this happens you need to accept it and let it go. If it was meant to work out it would have. There’s no point holding on to anger or sadness let it go, and believe everything happens for a reason.

Fave laugh:

This is one of my all-time favourite scenes from Friends. The show will never get old, you can always watch it again and again, well I can anyway haha. The episodes where Monica are on the larger side are some of my favourites, she’s just so cute and funny!

Fave thing:

How cute is this?! Koalas are adorable.

Fave song: Dust clears by Clean Bandit.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SdfL2nY-Xs8

This is just sooo good. Rather be, by Clean Bandit is huge right now and I adore it. However, I have overplayed it so because of this, dust clears is number one for me this Friday!

Fave picture:

How pretty is this? Love is certainly in the air wherever this is <3

So they were my Friday favourites, what are yours?
Au revoir until next time!

T.G.I.F. Lifestyle, music, valentines day and more!

                              Five Friday Favourites.

Aloha and happy Friday to you! I have had a lovely week off getting all my bits and pieces together so I am prepared to go back to college on Monday! Even though I will be busy I’m ready to work hard and get this semester done a.s.a.p. My college hours are longer which means more work and less fun, it's only for four months so I think I can do it! I’m going to try and write as much as I can for my blog and my sanity haha. Random fun fact of the week, the thoughts of me not going away this summer on a holiday is breaking my heart a little. I just want a break in the sun but I can’t see it happening. Is it so much to ask for a cheap beach escape? In my student Irish life the answer to the question is a yes. A great thing that came out of this week is that I was told I am being kept on in work. This was such a shock because the shop was meant to close on the fourth of January so that’s brilliant! A weekend job is perfect for me now with college starting back so that’s something very positive and made me really happy! Enough of my rambling for now and onto the five favourites, enjoy :)

Fave quote

If you know me I don’t have to explain this quote, you can never go wrong with Peter Pan <3

Fave laugh:

I love Zooey Deschanel, she’s so pretty and so funny new girl is one of my favourite shows! I was re-watching the show the other day and this gif was in the episode that was on. I couldn’t stop laughing because she was being a classical gal after a breakup! Then I noticed for some reason this year more than ever Valentine’s Day is this HUGE thing. I’ve seen so many Valentine’s Day ideas, outfits makeup tutorials, under-wear and clothing collection, DVDS, anything you can think of! However what is annoying me the most is the retaliation of all this valentines day stuff. There is such a anti-valentines day campaign this year. Between anti-Valentine’s day makeup tutorials, clothing ideas, films to watch etc. It is cringing me out to the max. Why are single people so caught up in this day? Why is it such a big deal its nothing?! Yes it’s lovely if you have a boyfriend and you’re doing something nice for the day, but If not calm down! There is no reason to sit at home crying cause you’re “forever alone” or going all drama queen planning a anti valentine’s day eating chocolate shit food and getting locked. If you’re single on the 13th there’s not really much of a difference on the 14th and when the days over you’ll go back to feeling the way you did before. So please save yourself the all black attire and feeling sorry for yourself this day next week! Instead smile because its friddaaaaaaaaaaay :)

Fave song: Who you love John Mayer and Katy Perry
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSRCpertZn8

As I’ve been feeling sick this week this song is so calming and has been on repeat constantly. I also love the two as a couple they are so inlove it is so adorable <3

Fave thing: Catch up with Becca.
I don’t see my friend Rebecca)Becca) half as much as I should because our time tables constantly clash and one of us is always busy. However, when we do catch up its just where we left off! I was feeling so sick when we hung out but for a few hours my mind was taken off it with all the gossip laughs and rants! A catch up with a friend was just what I needed and I hope we can have them more frequently! :)

I just want to go away!(claz crying)

So they were my Friday favourites what are yous?

Au revoir for now!

Quick and Easy Smokey eye look; MM

My go to smokey eye look.

Aloha and welcome to this week’s motivational Monday! This week is a beauty post about one of my favourite makeup looks of all time the smokey eye, I hope you enjoy!
This is a guide an everyday version of my favourite smokey eye. If I’m going on a night out I will smoke it out more at the sides and use some darker colours etc. I achieved this eye look in five minutes and you can too if you follow these steps! I started by applying my Maybelline 24 colour tattoo in 35 on and on bronze all over the lid. Then I pushed the buck colour from the urban decay naked pallet all over the lid, then slightly smudging it around the edges and bringing the colour down under the eye. I toped eye look off with my Chanel stylo yeux waterproof in noir intense 88 as an eyeliner in the waterline. This is my favourite long lasting eyeliner it applies almost like a liquid which is great for that true dark black line. I finished the look with my seventeen doll’d up mascara. So that is the quick look, ta dah!

What is your go to eye look?

Au revoir until next time!
