My September 2013

                                   September Favourites.

September has been one of the rollercoaster months for me, a load of things has happened and I’ve been caught up in everyday life. I haven’t been using a lot of new products and I haven’t gone shopping in ages because like many other students, I’ve been broke. Since last weekend I’ve been unwell, with a very glamorous streptococcal throat! Of course it was bound to happen the week I had planned to hang out with friends, shop and do a lot of nice fun activities, before I go back to college this coming Monday. Alas, instead of these lovely plans I’ve been bedridden with no voice and just craving food! However, if I’m better by Saturday, I’ll be going shopping so there may be a haul or OOTD coming up very soon! So, with that little rant and update over, here is my smallest monthly favourites ever, enjoy!

Beauty.
Lips: Kate Moss for Rimmel nude 03. (Under 7 euro)
This is my perfect light brown nude shade. Since I became obsessed with the Rimmel apocalypse nude eclipse lip lacquer, I wanted a lipstick that was almost identical the colour. I was humming and hawing over buying M.A.C teddy which is a gorgeous nude brown, but I couldn’t justify spending 20 on a lipstick without even looking for a cheaper dupe. I am always looking at high end lipsticks then looking for cheaper alternatives. In my opinion if you can barely tell the difference between high end and low end, you may as well go for the cheaper option and save that cash!
Hair care: (under 10 euro)
I’ve been really into hair care the past two months I recently dyed my hair a darker blonde and I’m loving it. It’s just more natural and it looks a lot healthier! I think the healthier look is down to these two dream products I’ve been using!

L'Oreal Paris Elnett satin heat styling spray. I’ve been using this mainly as a heat protectant it smells amazing and leaves my hair really soft after its blow dried or straightened. I plan on experimenting more with my hair so I’ll be looking for more styling sprays like this one!

I have also been adoring the L'Oreal ever riche hair treatment, which I mentioned in last month’s favourites, it’s been going hand in hand with the heat protectant helping my hair feel and look better. Both products really do work wonders!
Body: (under 10 euro)

Dove purely pampering body butter, with Shea and warm vanilla. I bought this like most gems on a whim! I went into boots with the intention of picking up my go to palmers butter, but I was on a budget and needed a few things. When I wandered down the body isle, I seen special offer signs and my mind was pinging! I seen that the dove body cream was on special offer from eight euro to under four euro! My friend swears by her dove moisturiser so I said I’d pick this one up and give it a go! I am a sucker for scents so I chose the Shea and warm vanilla. I actually adore this cream, it applies really well, dries really quickly and leaves me skin exceptionally smooth. The thing I really like is the scent lasts for hours, I’ll put it on and my room will smell of the cream, it is divine!

Fashion

Clothing: (under 20 euro)
My skull t-shirt from Bershka. At the start of the month I was going to a christening and I had no idea what to wear, I wanted a versatile outfit of two things I could over wear together and separately. I opted for a wine pencil skirt from River Island and an oversized baggy t-shirt dress from Bershka. I hadn’t gone to Bershka in around four years but, it was all done up and me and my friend said we’d give it a go. I was only five minutes in the store when I found the t-shirt, I tried it on and fell in love. I can't get enough of oversized comfy t-shirts because you can wear them in so many ways. I tried it on tucked into the skirt and it looked great! Since the christening I have worn the top so much and I’m going back into Bershka to see if I can pick up some more like these!
Jewellery.

I wanted bands like these for ages and couldn’t get my hands on them in Lanzarote. So a friend kindly picked me up three bands while he was away. My favourite of the three is the pink one because luminous pink is my all-time favourite colour. My birthday dress for my 20th was even a luminous pink skater dress! I have worn the bracelet almost every day since I’ve got it and I don’t plan on taking it off any time soon, It goes with everything. :]

Random favourite: (90 euro)

My random favourite of this month is my new phone, which is the Sony xpeira e.

I bought this phone with some of my birthday money and I am obsessed! It was 90 euro and has so much! It’s the best phone I’ve had in a long while and I adore it, I’m not good with technology so other people might disagree but I can’t fault it. It has loads of apps, a good battery and it is easy to work so what more do you need?!

So they were my September favourites, I hope you enjoyed!

What have you been loving this month? Feel free let me know below :]

Au revoir until next time,

C xo

                          Five Friday favourites

Ahoj!
I hope you enjoy todays post and have a happy Friday!
Favourite day:
Monday the 16th of September. This is because it was my 20th birthday! My favourite bit of the day was from the afternoon till around midnight. I was so really happy and grateful that my family and friends came to help me celebrate my birthday and make me feel like a princess! I wore a Florissant pink skater dress from River Island, black platforms from Korky’s, a gold chain from Pennys/Primark, two gold bangles and on my nails I went for a china glaze 629 black diamond 77029. For makeup I went with a subtle brown Smokey eye, using my maybelline colour tattoo 24hr eye shadow in on and on bronze, as a base and my Urban Decay Naked Pallet to blend out the colours and add the Smokey effect. I wore my mac foundation for my skin base, held together by my Rimmel stay matte powder and for my lipstick I wore my Kate Moss for Rimmel matte lipstick in 03. I adored my makeup and outfit!

Favourite quote.

I think this is a lovely inspirational and positive quote. It reminds me to keep going and believe in myself, even if everyone else doesn’t or if someone puts me down. There is a positive to every negative and you just need to remember that and keep believing in yourself. Like Benjamin Franklin once said you can do anything you set your mind to!
Favourite laugh:

I was showing my friend this the other day and I actually couldn’t stop laughing, I’ve watched this video at least six times and it never gets old! Louise from SprinkleOfGiltter is one of my favourite youtubers. Whenever I’m feeling down, or just having a one of those days I’ll look through some of her videos and it makes me feel so much better. :]
Favourite photo
I adore this picture of Kim Kardashian and Lamar Odom at Kim’s second wedding last year. I love the moment caught in the photo happiness is just oozing out of it! I'm also in love with her dress, I’ll never forget the first time I seen it on the wedding special on E! and fell in love with it. Kim looked absolutely gorgeous in all three of her wedding dresses but the second one shown here is my favourite. I need a dress like that in my life!
Favourite song. Drunk by The Eli young band.
I found this song when The Eli young band uploaded a vevo video for it the other day and I’m obsessed, country music is my total guilty pleasure this song is so catchy and cute. It’s so relatable because we have all had a drunk call or text before that we wake up the next day and cringe about haha <3
So they were my Friday favourites!
Au revoir until next time!

                      My Five Friday Favourites

Aloha!

I have had an eventful week to say the least. Nonetheless, I’ve still managed to come up with five things I’ve been loving, so feel free to read on!
Favourite quote:
I adore this, it’s a nice little reminder that the past is the past and you just need to keep moving forward. It’s a perfect quote for me because I am guilty when it comes to over thinking and stressing out over the littlest of things. It’s not a major problem or anything, I just tend to go off tangent and over think a situation or discussion, when I’ve basically nothing else to pre occupy my mind ha ha.

Favourite song: The 1975 chocolate.

I have been seriously loving and overplaying the 1975 all week. Their music is so good and catchy I just love them! If you like the whole alternative/ indie rock type of music you’ll love this band.

Favourite laugh:

My sister sent me this last night and I just think it’s brilliant. I love all of the Kardashians but Kim, Kourtney and Khloe are my ultimate faves. Kim is so gorgeous but her crying face is hilarious! When I watched this vine I could picture the episode when Kim was crying during a family trip. It showed Kim crying hysterically then Kourtney talking to the camera slagging Kim because of her crying face. The impression is perfected fair play to the girl, whoever she is!

Favourite photo: Dollymount strand.

My friend took this photo when we went on a walk along the coast on Monday. I like it because just a simple nice scenery photo, but it brings back funny memories of the day J
Favourite thing.
My favourite thing this week is my meteor to meteor free calls. I would have gone insane this week without them! I’m a phone call addict as texts bore me and I get lazy with my touch screen phone. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without my free calls, one day during the week I roughly made about 10 calls! The funniest thing is about five of the calls were to just one of my friends which is hilarious. what can I say it was a funny day and had to be shared.
So they were my Friday favourites! I hope you liked them, and have a happy Friday!
Au revior until next time xo
