                                   My Five Friday Favourites

Ahoj!
I hope you enjoy this quick post, and have a happy Friday!

Favourite song
Bonnie Mckee American Girl
This has become my anthem this week, it’s the best feel good song I’ve heard in so long! It’s so upbeat and gets me in the best mood :)

Favourite show/film.
Pretty little liars season 4 finale. SPOILER ALERT.
In my opinion this was the best episode of the whole season! I found the episodes in season 4 quite boring if I’m being honest. It only got interesting in the last 3 episodes, for me anyway. However, the season finale was brilliant! I wasn’t sure who I thought A was, I thought it was a team of a few people, then when one of the girls said that A could be a man I was like, oh my god it's Ezra! I remember thinking at the start it could be him but, I was always like no it’s not him he’s too nice, and probably because Ezra is one of my favourite characters in the show. When it showed A standing outside the costume shop I turned to my friend Tara and said I’m telling you its Ezra! She responded saying it no it can’t be him, can it?! Then he turned around in the lair and started going crazy like a complete psychopath. The both of us started screaming NOOOOO why is it him?! It was probably one of the funniest reactions I’ve ever had to the show. The plot twist left us shocked for the whole night. We talked about it and tried to make sense of it but we couldn’t. We now want to watch them all from the start and see if we can link some things up ha ha. I’m very sad that Ezra is A, poor Aria will be heartbroken! I don’t know how they’re going to make a new series I am a little over it. Nonetheless, I will still watch to see what happens when everyone else finds out that Ezra is A!

Favourite laugh
This is a scene from the newly released comedy we are the Millers. It’s a brilliant film, the plot isn’t one of those comedies that drags its actually hilarious and I’d watch it again. I seriously recommend it!

 Favourite quote

I think this is a brilliant thing that a lot of people seem to forget. I gave up caring what people thought of me a long time ago because you are never going to be able to please everyone. Someone is always going to find a something they don’t like in you or something bad to say. When they do and if they are ballsy enough to confront you about it, you just need to blank the negativity, accept that you can’t change how they feel and move on. The people that think or say these things about you are nothing to you, not important in any way so why bother? Ignore them and be happy :)

Favourite photo. Want to know how I got these scars?

The joker is my favourite villain of all time and I found this photo surfing Tumblr the other day. I just think it is amazing!

Au revoir until next time xo

                               July and August favourite 2013

As you can see from the title my July and August favourites are combined into one post, this is because I was mega busy in both July and August so apologies if this post is too long for some of you! Next month will be September favourites alone! Regardless of the length I hope you enjoy it anyway! J

Eyes: Under €10

Rimmel kohl pencil in 011 Sable.

The past two months I’ve been really loving Smokey eye shadow and experimenting more with eye makeup. I invested in my first brown eye liner and I have to say, I’m going to find it very hard to go back to black! I just love how it blends and makes even the most dramatic eye makeup look less harsh whereas if it was black this would be less achievable. I’m seriously obsessed with brown Smokey eyes and they become my signature going out look thanks to this eyeliner. I love it so much!

L’Oreal telescopic under 20.

My eyelashes are naturally really long and finding the right mascara is always a bit of a nuisance because of this. However, the L’Oreal telescopic is just brilliant to for me! It suits my lashes perfectly and is just my go to mascara. It was great on the holiday, and every day since then! It makes my eye makeup look much better I love it.

Lip Product: Under €10. Rimmel Apocalypse lip lacquer in Nude eclipse.

I adore this product, I have been seriously devoted to it over the past two months! I love it best over my Revlon 245 Smokey rose. I’ve spoke about this lipstick in previous blog posts if you want to check it out! It is the perfect colour teamed with a Smokey eye, I am seriously in love with it!

Hair care: under €20

The Tangle tamer
I have this ages but it needs to be spoken about, even though I’m extremely late in the blogging world! I’m not going to lie, I do not know how I ever lived without this product? My hair gets extremely knotty all the time from doing nothing at all but since I got a tangle tamer it is my saviour!

Hair Mask: under 10. L’Oreal ever riche intensive hair treatment.

When I came home from my holidays, my hair was really dried out from the sun so I was craving a good hair mask or treatment. I went into boots almost straight away when I got home and went on the hunt and found this gem! I had heard people talking about the ever riche line from L’Oreal so, I decided to give it a go and I’m so glad I did. This is a great treatment it makes your hair feel super moisturised and like silk to touch!

Nails: under €10. Bourjois turquoise block.

I was looking for a stand out summer shade especially for my holiday and at the start of July I found this beauty! It is from the 6 second dry collection from Bourjois and it is the fastest drying nail varnish I’ve had so far. This is perfect for me because I’m extremely impatient! As well as being quick and easy to apply the colour is so pigmented even with just one coat. I got a lot of compliments on the colour and I’ll be looking for a darker shade from this collection for autumn winter!

Clothing: H and M kimono €20.

I’m extremely happy to say I have found my perfect summer piece! This is probably one of my favourite summer thing that I have ever owned. I over wore this on my holiday dressing it up and down. My favourite way to wear it was with a band t-shirt with denim shorts and black sandals! I’m too afraid to wear it at home in case anyone stands on it and rips it by accident so I’ll be putting it away until my next summer holiday!

Shoes: Blue vans €45.

How did I live without vans is a mystery to me they are probably the comfiest runners I have ever had and I think for how much they were they are worth every penny. I have already got my money’s worth out of them, they are just great and I will be buying another pair!

Scent: Gucci premiere €108.

Since I said goodbye to my bronze goddess I have fallen back in love with my beloved Gucci. This is a gorgeous perfume and one of my favourites it’s up there with my number one perfume which is Gucci Guilty. I think Gucci Premier is not as strong as Gucci Guilty so it is easier to wear in the day if you don’t want to strong of a perfume.

Jewellery: Pendant ring €5.

I bought this ring in a great market in Costa Tequise. I love the colours and the size of the ring, it goes with just about everything and it was so affordable. In my eyes I can never go wrong with a costume ring!

Entertainment:

Show: TOWIE- The Only Way Is Essex

It’s safe to say that I am actually in love with TOWIE. For those of you who do not know what the show is, it is a reality show based in Essex in the UK. The show resolves around a group of twenty something’s with their careers, daily dramas and lifestyles. Beware, it is extremely addictive! I love the accent the drama and the people in the show, it’s highly entertaining and I’m so glad I started watching it! I like the majority of the people in it and I can’t wait until it starts back again.

Singer:

Lana del ray.

While I was on holiday I forgot my book so I was left with my iPod being my only source of entertainment when I was trying to sleep or chilling by the pool. I found myself overplaying Lana Del Ray, my favourite songs by her are young and beautiful, national anthem, Paris and summer time sadness, I like her quirkiness and the way her vocals can change depending the type of song she sings.

Rapper:

Hoodie Allen.

I also played Hoodie Allen to death. I just think he is so smart and talented, I really want to go and see him when he plays here in September sadly none of my friends know who he is and I’m not going to go alone ha ha. My favourite songs by him are no faith in Brooklyn, #whitegirlproblems, sticks and stones, and soul on fire. Check him out!

Longitude Festival:

In the month of July I went to an Irish festival called Longitude and it was AMAZING. I basically went to see Kodaline which are my favourite Irish band because I missed out on their own gig tickets. So my best friend and I went to the longitude festival for a fun day out and to see them! The Maccabees, Vampire weekend and Villagers also played the day I went and they were all great too! Kodaline made the day for me though, they were so good live and played all of my favourite songs! The atmosphere was crazy when they came on, they were really happy, energetic and overwhelmed by the crowd it was so great! The best song was all I want, they were the most passionate about it and the crowed went mad for it when the music started. I loved it and I really hope I see them again soon!

Place:
Tequise Lanzarote

I spent ten days in Lanzarote in the town of Tequise on a huge family holiday. It was like a paradise, the water was so clear, the heat was perfect because of the breeze and all of the restaurants were delicious. It was the perfect holiday break and just what I needed. The town was very family orientated but I didn’t expect a crazy holiday because I was away with my family. I would love to go back again for a sunny break!

So they were my July and August favourites hope you liked them!

Au revoir for now! xo

                        Five Friday Favourites.

Ahoj!

I think this is a nice little thing to add into my blog for the lifestyle section. I plan on writing a post like this every Friday to let you know a few of the little things I’ve been loving during the week. With this new section added, I’ll be leaving my monthly favourites to just beauty and fashion with probably one bonus favourite!

Favourite quote:

I adore this quote. It describes me when I’m doubting a night out, if I’m not sure on whether I want to go because of money, what to wear or if I’m just not in the best of moods. However, I usually talk to my friends, have a yolo moment and just go. This is because I’d rather do something and regret it, then wish I had of done it. Yes I know, staying in is the comfier and cheaper option but it is not as fun as pre drinks and dancing the night away with your friends!

Favourite song: Andrew Belle Static Waves.

I’ve loved Andrew belle for years now, but this song has been non-stop playing in my head all week and it was still the same today! I still have to listen to all of his new album and I’m sure I’ll find a gem or two.

Favourite show/movie: Movie-The Heat.

During the week I went to see the heat and I thought it was hilarious and one of the funniest films I’ve seen lately. Sandra Bullock is one of my favourite actresses I think she’s so funny and cute. I’m bound to like the majority of films she’s in because she’s the typical romantic comedy actress. I also loved Melissa McCarthy, I think she is actually one of the most hilarious actresses alive! At one point in the movie me and my friend couldn’t stop laughing because she said one funny thing that led into the other. It’s personally a must see it was a good story line as well as a classic gal comedy. I love it!

Favourite laugh: Happy Birthday xoxo Nidge ;)
This is hilarious and perfect interpretation of a character called Nidge in an Irish drama called love/hate. I was in stitches of laughing the first time I seen it!

Favourite photo:

When I think of Paris this photo pretty much says it all. Night-time with the Eiffel tower lit up over the city, it is perfection. I can’t wait to go!

So there were my favourite Friday picks I hope you enjoyed them.
Au revoir until next time xoxo

Summer Holiday Essentials

My summer holiday must haves 2013.

Ahoj!

Towards the end of July until the end of last week, I was vacationing in the beautiful town called Teguise in Lanzarote. It was the break that I needed, the town was very family orientated but I didn’t mind because that was the kind of holiday I was on. Even though I really enjoyed the break I am so glad to be home, as I missed my friends and mainly because I am a complete home bird! I have a lot of ideas for post this month so read along if you are interested  J

Face: under 10

Maybeline 5 in 1 bb cream.
I picked this beauty up because I didn’t want to bring a heavy foundation away in the heat. I can’t wear foundation in the day when I’m on holidays because I just get to warm and I think it’s a waste. In Lanzarote it was always warm even at the night time but, there was a cool breeze and the bb cream was perfect. It felt like I wasn’t wearing any make up at all, I only needed one layer as it was a light to medium coverage. The only thing I didn’t like was the smell of the product.

Powder: under 10.

Rimmle stay matte powder. This powder is my saviour I’ve worn it for so many years and I always go back. It is so affordable and a brilliant product. It does exactly what it says on the lid- stays matte. I have combination to oily skin so I personally don’t like the dewy foundation look on me, so this mattifying powder is perfect for me.

Cheeks: Topshop blush morning dew under 10.

This is a cream to matte product that works perfectly in the heat. It is very pigmented so you only need a little bit. The product is long lasting and was over worn on my holiday.

Concealer n 17 01 fair under 10.

Before I left I went to re purchase my favourite collection 2000 concealer but they didn’t have my shade so I went a shade up thinking it wouldn’t be that much of a difference. Sadly it was too dark for my foundation, so I was looking around for a cheap enough one that seemed like a good coverage. I opted for the n17 concealer in fair. It is actually a really good cover and blends in really well, the colour is true to the suggestion and I will be re purchasing it.

Eyes:

Naked pallet 2 43.

I love the both of my pallets and I probably wear more shades from the first naked pallet so I thought I’d take the second one and experiment with the colours a little more. And also because my eye brow colour is from the second pallet and having once pallet is more practicable. The pallet was great for bright eyes and a strong lip or Smokey eyes and a light lip and it was a saviour on the holiday!

Rimmle kohl. 011 sable. Under €10.

.

This is my first brown eye liner and I honestly don’t know why I didn’t use one earlier! It is perfect for Smokey eyes because it is not as harsh as black. I have been seriously over using it since I’ve bought it. It is affordable and long lasting even in the heat.

Collection Under eye illuminating concealer under 10.

I rarely go anywhere without this product since I found it months ago, it is just a gorgeous product. It removes dark circles and really helps to lift the skin, I would be lost without it!

Lips.  Lipsticks are my favourite beauty item to wear and when I was getting ready for this holiday I found it really hard picking which ones to bring. I brought two other lip products with me but didn’t use them so I see no point for them in my post.

Barry m. lip paint 62 Vibrant Pink. Under 10

This is my go to summer bright lip. Not everyone would be a fan but I like it and that’s all that matters to me. I find a strong lip and bright eyes the easiest makeup look to wear and I over wore this look while away because it was so quick and simple.

Kate moss for rimmle 101. Under 10

I’ve featured this product in a previous blog post it is my favourite natural pink colour so I had to bring it with me! I wore it on the plane going and coming home as well as almost every second day, yes I am obsessed!

Body:

Palmers Body Butter. Under 10

After a day in the sun I think it is essential to moisturise your body. I had an after sun but for extra motorisation I used my all-time favourite body butter.

Nails: Bourjois in turquoise block. Under 10

I think this is the most gorgeous nail colour I have ever owned! It is so pigmented, applies really well and is very long lasting! I get so many compliments on it and I really want more from the collection. I brought this with me so I could top up when it chipped and I only had to use it once. It is a star buy for me.

Scent: Este Laudre bronze goddess €65

I’m very sad to say that my bronze goddess has come to an end (sad face). There was literally two weeks’ worth before the holiday and it is now all gone until next summer! However it did the job and made me feel like a bronze goddess even though I looked more like a twilight character! Ha-ha

So they were my holiday essentials this year, hope you enjoyed! Au revior until next time xoxo J
