Current autum/winter Favourites; Lifetsyle, Music, Tv series, things to live by.

                                                                  Current Friday favourites.

Aloha and happy Friday to you! It has been two months since my last blog post which saddens me. Since my final college year started at the end of September time has been flying in, I’ve been ridiculously busy with college and still trying to maintain some sort of social life, which if I’m being honest is failing miserably as college is taking up all of my time! I knew my final year in college would be a lot of work but it really is more than I have expected. I know the hard work I'm putting in will all be worth it in the end, I just have to keep going and keep positive! It upsets me that I just haven’t had enough time to write my weekly blog post but hopefully I will be able to try and keep it up, as writing is still my passion and I would love if my blog had a recurring presence once again. I haven’t been loving a lot of makeup and fashion the past month as I am usually sitting in studying in yoga pants and no makeup so glamorous and gorgeous.. I know! So here are some lifestyle bits I’ve been loving since September,  hope you enjoy!

Fave quotes

Fave music;

Meghan Trainor

I have so much love for this girl she is amazing and so talented. Her music automatically puts me in a good mood and never gets old or boring. I love how sassy and down to earth she is, I can see her becoming really big and I hope she comes to Ireland because it is a gig I would love to go to!

The weeknd;
The first time I listened to the weeknd was on Ariana Grande’s love me harder song and I loved his voice but never looked into him more. That was until Kevenna was asking did I have him on my ipod when we were drinking on Halloween I didn’t at the time but after that weekend I listend to a few of his songs and now I am in lust!

Lana del rey video games. This song is a throwback but such a good one, you can never go wrong with some Lana del Rey, also Ben Howard’s cover of this song is amazing.

Fave event; Halloween.

As I was saying earlier I have not been getting out as much because of studying and general life hacks but Halloween was a hilarious night, last minute plans, oak-heart Bacardi and best friends will always be a great combination. I spent my night in town in a pub/club in Temple bar till the early hours of the morning dressed as a boho vampire and loving the fact I wore flats instead of heels. There's a sentence I never thought I’d say, but I didn’t want to break my neck on the cobble stones of Temple bar, walking in them in heels on a daily basis is hard enough let alone when you aren’t sober!

Fave entertainment.

Serial- podcast.

This audio file is ridiculously addictive , I was introduced to it by my lovely cousin and I have been hooked ever since. I think I have 3 episodes to go I am dying to find out whether the reporter gets to solve the case or not!

Greys anatomy.

The return of the cold also brought the return of Grey’s anatomy and I am loving the new series, an emotional rollercoaster as always but the adapting and every changing story line keeps you wanting more. However, I really am missing Yang things just aren’t the same without her!

Stalker;

This is a new show that aired this autumn, it is an American crime investigation series that reminds me a lot of criminal minds. I was hooked on this show with the pilot episode it is seriously worth the watch!

Love/hate.

Love/hate was the the highlight of the month for me even though it ended on the 9th  of November. It was the fifth and final series full of great storylines and ended with a bang, I will miss the show and my favourite character Nidge haha. :)

Reality tv;

TOWIE; The only way is Essex.

Yes it is my guilty pleasure and no I am not ashamed! I love the drama and the laughs from the hilarious cast of the only way is Essex.

I’m a celebrity get me out of here 2014.

The show came back TV our screens at the start of the week and myself and the family are loving it so far. This year’s celebrities are hilarious already, I can’t wait to see what they get up too!

Fave relaxation;

Yoga with Adrienne.

To relieve the stress and strains of college and studying I have been getting back into yoga. Yoga with Adrienne is my number one source for at home practice. Adrienne is so down to earth and calming and really eases you into the different poses. Definitely check her out of you are looking into yoga!

Fave photos; and smiles.

They’re all so handsome how can you not smile?

Au revoir until next time!

September favourites; 21st birthday, party, makeup, fashion, lifestyle.

                                                                      My 21st birthday.

September was the quickest month in all honestly I don’t know where it has gone! It was a roller-coaster of month for me, where I had to make some major decisions and I can honestly say I am happy with the outcome. September kicks off my favourite months of the year, as I am an autumnal baby and a lover of all things winter! I’ve vamped my wardrobe and my final things to buy will be my perfect winter coats. My September favourites are all from my 21st Birthday Party weekend, I had that birthday bliss for four days and it was amazing, filled of so much fun laughter and love. My 21st was an event I didn’t even want to mark but I am so happy I did. I am surrounded by the most loyal and loving family and friends, they know who they are and I am so thankful to them all for making my birthday weekend, one I will never forget. <3

I turned 21 on Tuesday the 16th of September 2014 but had my birthday celebrations on Saturday the 13th of September. Myself not being a lover of parties well the ones I host myself, I wanted an intimate gathering of close family and friends. Instead of a function room I opted for a more laid back pre-drink style of a house party, then headed out to a club in the city centre after midnight to finish the night out. I still can’t believe the house party; I wasn’t expecting anything major but my mam really did go to such an effort and really did outdo herself. My house was turned into a mini wonderland full of all things sweet, pink and sparkly. Glowing candles lit the back garden like a magical hue surrounded by sparkly lanterns and garden ornaments paving the way to a handmade photo booth, and a giant birthday banner near the tables and seats. The house was filled with pink balloons, and banners as well as a projector spanning my life from the very beginning up to present day on the sitting room wall and so much more! My mam incorporated little things from some of my favourite films and favourite things and so that everywhere I turned there was something I loved which was so thoughtful and personal. There was an array of foods from sweet to savoury but the thing that caught the most attention was the birthday cake. I honestly don’t know where to start because the picture does not do it justice! This big beautiful cake was filled with chocolate sponge and a rocky road type of filling that was not cut into until the 16th. 21 chocolate sponge cupcakes  also surrounded the cake, sadly they had all disappeared before the picture was taken! I had such a great night being surrounded by my family and friends, it was all I wanted and wouldn’t change a thing.

The makeup;

As I am a lover of lists, I had a high end beauty list in the making for several months, thinking I would be purchasing a gift or two for my birthday, a Christmas present to myself and then little treats here and there. However, to my surprise my mam and little sisters bought me the content on my wish list! They also gifted me with birthday outfit which I adored and other personal things which I won’t disclose. The makeup I was gifted and featured in the picture above is the Dolce Vita pallet by Charlotte Tilbury (my new obsession) makeupforever matte velvet foundation, YSL shocking mascara, urban decay buck eye shadow, MAC viva glam 2 and MAC paint pot in groundwork. All of the products are so amazing, I incorporated them all into the makeup I wore on the night of my birthday!

The outfit accessories and hair;

I loved my birthday outfit, I had never been so stressed for an outfit in my life but it was all worth it in the end. I wore a textured silver crop top and a H&M black pencil skirt with mesh bands at the end. The outfit was so figure hugging yet flattering at the same time and it was so comfy I adored it. The heels are my beloved black office heels that I wear to death they are the ultimate dancing heel as you can go on forever and they are so easy to walk in! My lovely best friend Tara also curled my hair for the night which was a nice change instead of my usual go to straightened hair. I also wore a pink sparkly princess crown because you only turn 21 once right? For jewellery I opted for a mix and match of gold, rose gold and silver jewellery like the rebel that I am and a black clutch for a bag.

The actual birthday day; Tuesday the 16th of September 2014.

I spent the day relaxing with family and friends and for the evening my little sister brought me to my favourite restaurant for a meal which was so lovely! We had planned to go to the cinema after however, we were both exhausted so instead we went home and watched a film with wine and twirl bites which was perfect. If I’m being honest I don’t think I felt normal until the following Saturday a whole week after my party!

So that was a look inside my 21st birthday and my September favourite! What was yours?

Au revoir until next time

Friday favourites; blogging return, lifestyle, music, food and friends.

                                                                       T.G.I.F.  I’m back!

Aloha and happy Friday to you! September is nearly over and the month has been a blur between my 21st birthday which was one of the best nights of my life, starting back college and other significant events I haven’t had a minute to stop and actually relax let alone write a post. However, I have been drafting bits and pieces which will be written up in posts in the weeks to come. I am easing myself back into my beloved blog with a favourites post and a recap of the week. This week consisted of me finding my feet again and settling back into college life, as I am no longer working part time I have all the time in the world to focus on myself and my college work. As it is my final year I am going to give it my all. As of yesterday I slightly altered my future career choice so, stay tuned and see where my new path takes me!

Fave quote;

This quote is very relevant to my life right now. People grow apart and drift naturally as we grow, however, when people do mean things on purpose and have no excuse for their crappy behaviour you have to ask yourself is it worth it? Through letting go of these bad ties the last month it has freed up more time for me to give to the people in my life that are as this quote reads. The people I am surrounding myself with as of late are once in a life time kind of people that I will be holding dear for as long as I can. I can honestly say the that my true friends would do anything for me, helping me grow and achieve my goals and I would do the same for them too. Would you?

Fave song; Nick Jonas Jealous.

I love this man’s voice and this song is so catchy! It oozes soul with a great beat, which makes it such a anthem.

Fave show; Blacklist.

After getting over the fact I finished three seasons of scandal..yes 47 episodes in two weeks I needed a new show to latch onto and this week is when I found blacklist. It is a crime drama set in New York that is so addictive. I am on episode 13/22 and I don't want it to end, every episode ends with a cliffhanger and I honestly don’t know what to expect from it!

Fave picture;

Who else is excited for Halloween?!

Fave food; hummus.

Hummus my new favourite thing how I only tried it for the first time last week amazes me because it is so yummy and goes with everything! I prefer mine with cucumber and carrot sticks, it is so tasty, so filling and it’s good for you!

So they were my Friday favourites what are yours?

Au revoir for now!
